Living Art: Friday Night Event at the Theater

Captivating performances and stunning local artwork abound at Playa del Carmen’s new city theater. The Teatro de la Ciudad hosts free shows for families, kids and adults alike every week, and its gorgeous lobby area is often filled with wonderful local and international artwork.

This Friday night, Teatro de la Ciudad will be hosting “Pasos: De los 4 a los 14” (Steps: From 4 to 14 years) by young artist Joaquin Garcia S. The event will take place June 17 starting at 6:00 pm in the lobby of Teatro de la Ciudad, and will feature live art combined with enhanced reality, creating a truly unique experience for all who attend.

This artistic event in Playa del Carmen is being promoted by masters Daniela Juaregui and Armando Martinez, along with GRECA (Grupo Editorial del Caribe).GRECA is a local Playa del Carmen editorial group that focuses on providing new, innovative and groundbreaking ways for readers and audiences to experience reading, writing and communicating, like their incredible “living books” or this week’s new living art.

GRECA says, “This performance will offer the audience a different and innovative way to experience art; many of the pieces on display will be animated via Enhanced Reality technology.”

Friday’s living art event at the theater will be free of charge! In fact, most of the events and performances hosted at Playa del Carmen’s Teatro de la Ciudad are free of charge; to stay updated on upcoming shows at the theater, click here to follow Teatro de la Ciudad on Facebook.
