On Friday June 12th, the construction site of the newest and most (so far) ambitious project by Menesse and GMB, was transformed into a classy venue set up with cocktail bars, DJs, well dressed waiters serving fancy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and a spectacular video projection on the main marquise. This was truly one of the biggest Real Estate events in the history of the Riviera Maya.

Around 300 guests attended this incredible special evening in Downtown Playa del Carmen. A lovely mix of future owners of studios, 1 and 2 bedroom and penthouse condominiums along with local Real Estate agents, lawyers and Law firms in support of this project as well as important members of AMPI (Asociacion Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios) mixed and mingled beneath a glamorous light display enveloped in upbeat music and surrounded by the beautiful people and social elite of the Riviera Maya.

This climactic event started with the impressive Groundbreaking Ceremony where Marc Pujol, General Director of GMB and Mariano Borges, founder of Menesse Condos, symbolically unveiled the Menesse The City cornerstone. With a background of fireworks and impressive lighting of the grounds that evoked images of the fascinating and magical ancient Mayan ruins of the Riviera Maya, ground was ceremoniously broken and the cornerstone was laid. The ceremony was projected on a big screen inside the tent to the delight of the audience.

This never-before-seen-in-Playa-del-Carmen dramatization was produced by the Solen Group: a sound and light company from Cancun.

The General Director of GMB proudly announced that Menesse The City has now sold out a total of 50% of the soon-to-be-constructed units. Those numbers are quiet impressive considering that this condo project is still at the groundbreaking stage. One of the most ingenious ideas of this great project is to include a Vespa (Scooter) with the sale of every studio. Very few of these studios are still available.

The President of AMPI (Asociacion Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios) Mr. Miguel Angel Lemus took a few minutes to briefly address the audience and acknowledge the success of the Menesse The City project. He recognized and hard work of both GMB and Menesse in getting this project off the ground. He also talked about the new federal laws that will soon regulate the Real Estate industry across the entire country of Mexico, making Real Estate transactions easier and more straightforward for investors from all over the world.

Jacopo Lincetto, official sponsor of the Italian brand Doimo and Piaggio Vespa was invited on stage to address the audience. Lincetto made possible the brilliant idea of including a Vespa Scooter with the purchase of a studio condominium at Menesse The City. 60 Vespas were brought to Playa del Carmen directly from Italy for the sole purpose of being offered with every studio purchase, since Vespa is not officially represented or sold in the Riviera Maya.
